      GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - After finishing last in the ACC during
the regular season, Miami is going to the conference tournament's
semifinals. The Hurricanes continued a stunning run with a 70-65
victory over Virginia Tech and next will face a fourth-ranked Duke
team that beat Virginia 57-46 earlier in the day.

      NEW YORK (AP) - Georgetown raced out to an early 15-4 lead
against Marquette but the Golden Eagles have rallied to trail the
22nd-ranked Hoyas 37-34 at halftime of that Big East Conference
semifinal at Madison Square Garden. Greg Monroe is leading the
Hoyas with 14 points and six rebounds at the half.

tie at 62 with 57 seconds left, and Alabama rallied from an
18-point deficit in the second half to beat South Carolina 68-63
Thursday in the opening round of the Southeastern Conference
