Marshall arrives with expectations in PhoenixPHOENIX (AP) — Of all the teams in the NBA that might have drafted him, Kendall Marshall was hoping it'd be Phoenix. The Suns had the same feeling about him. Joined by his family, Marshall was introduced by the Suns on Friday, less than 12 hours after they selected him with the 13th overall pick of the NBA draft. Phoenix could lose two-time league MVP Steve Nash to free agency and will need a point guard for the future whether he returns or not. Marshall appears to be a good fit, a cerebral, pass-first point guard who could thrive in the open spaces of the NBA and the Suns' up-tempo style. |
