Sullivan poised to enter high school Hall of Fame
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Samford football coach Pat Sullivan is poised to enter his sixth Hall of Fame.
Sullivan will be part of the 12-person class of the National High School Hall of Fame to be inducted Wednesday evening at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville.
He calls the honor "very humbling and flattering."
Sullivan was an All-American quarterback and two-time all-state pick in football, basketball and baseball at John Carroll High School in Birmingham.
The 1971 Heisman Trophy winner at Auburn, Sullivan is already a member of the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame and National Football Hall of Fame, among others.
