INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — IndyCar has penalized A.J. Foyt Racing for an illegal fuel cell in Mike Conway's car at Toronto.

Foyt was fined $15,000 and the team was docked 10 points on Tuesday.

Conway finished third in Sunday's race at Toronto. The infraction was found during a post-race inspection.

IndyCar vice president of technology Will Phillips says the discrepancy in the size of the fuel tank could have potentially given Conway an advantage in track position.
