JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (AP) — Ronnie Boggs and Tarvin Gaines netted 15 points apiece as Jacksonville State rolled to its first 3-0 start since jumping to Division I prior to the 1995-96 season with a 79-61 win over Alabama A&M Thursday night. The Gamecocks trailed early, and didn't take their first lead until Chris Deanes made a layup to put them up 20-18 with 8:48 left in the first half. Jacksonville State maintained that lead the rest of the way.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Russ Smith scored a game-high 18 points, Chane Behanan grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds and added 12 points and Louisville routed Samford 80-54 Thursday night. Behanan reached his career best in the first half with 13, outrebounding the Bulldogs by himself.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Christina Foggie scored 17 of her 19 points in the second half as Vanderbilt won 69-54 over Alabama-Birmingham on Thursday night. The Commodores shot 53.3 percent in the second half to break open a game they led 23-18 at halftime.
