Top riders all back for 2013 Supercross season

PHOENIX (AP) — The 2012 Supercross season was billed as the year of parity and lived up to expectations with different winners in the four opening races.

By the time it was over, Ryan Villopoto had run away with the title before joining a long list of injured riders.

With everyone healthy again and one unpredictable race already in the books, this season may actually have the balance that was missing a year ago.

Davi Millsaps got the season started by passing Trey Canard on the last lap at Angels Stadium in Anaheim, Calif., last weekend for his first victory since 2010. Canard finished second in his first race since suffering a broken back last season.

The circuit heads to Chase Field in Phoenix on Saturday night.
