KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 24 points and led Georgia's 3-point shooting onslaught Wednesday night as the Bulldogs defeated Tennessee 68-62 to win for the fifth time in their last six games. Georgia shot 11 of 20 from 3-point range. Caldwell-Pope was 5 of 7 from beyond the arc.
ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — Georgia is expecting to land one of the largest football signing classes in school history. The Bulldogs are bolstered by 13 players who graduated early from high school and enrolled in Athens. Before noon, the school has announced 24 signees and expects at least seven more before the day is done.
ATLANTA (AP) — Georgia Tech didn't have room to sign a big class, so coach Paul Johnson says he focused on filling needs with his class of 14 signees. Johnson said Wednesday he may sign another player or two. The class is highlighted by running back Travis Custis of Lovejoy High School and offensive linemen Shamire DeVine of Atlanta's Tri-Cities High School and Chris Griffin of Panacea, Fla.
