MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The nation's top-ranked team has a road game this evening as No. 1 Indiana is playing at Minnesota. The two met earlier in the season with the Hoosiers winning in Bloomington, Ind., 88-81. Indiana brings a record of 24-3 into the game.
MIAMI (AP) — Miami, the top team in the NBA East, is home tonight. The Heat, who are playing host to Sacamento, have won 11 straight games are 40-14 on the season.
NEW YORK (AP) — The history-making pole position held by Danica (DAN'-ih-kuh) Patrick in Sunday's Daytona 500 didn't hurt the TV ratings. According to Fox, the ratings were considerably higher than last year's when rain pushed the event to Monday night. Patrick finished eighth in the opening event on the NASCAR schedule.
PYONGYANG, North Korea (AP) — Who'd have thought that Dennis Rodman would wind up in North Korea on a goodwill tour? The Basketball Hall of Famer is in the isolated country with three members of the Harlem Globetrotters for an HBO program. A photograph of the tattooed Rodman snarling at a camera brought this response from one North Korean: "He looks like a monster."
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (AP) — The top two players in the world faced off in match play Sunday with Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy each winning a round. After both were eliminated in the first round of the Match Play Championship, the duo played two rounds Sunday morning. McIlroy said Woods won the first 18 holes, and he won the second match.
