Detroit Lions sign 8 draft picks, including Slay

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) — The Detroit Lions say they've signed eight players picked in the NFL draft, including second-round selection Darius Slay.

The team announced the 4-year contracts for the players on Friday. Additional terms weren't disclosed.

The Lions selected Slay, a 6-0, 192-pound Mississippi State cornerback, with the fourth pick of the second round, the 36th pick overall.

They also signed Kentucky offensive guard Larry Warford, who was taken in the third round with the 65th overall pick.

Other players signed are South Carolina defensive end Devin Taylor, Appalachian State punter Sam Martin, Virginia Tech wide receiver Corey Fuller, Notre Dame running back Theo Riddick, Alabama tight end Michael Williams and Florida A&M linebacker Brandon Hepburn.
