BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Make it three-consecutive Bowerman Award semifinalist nominations for LSU track and field athlete Kimberlyn Duncan. Duncan landed on the semifinalist list once again for the nation's top award for collegiate track and field athletes just days after she earned the Honda Sports Award for women's college track and field for the second year in a row.

CORNELIUS, N.C. (AP) — Sprint Cup drivers Kasey Kahne, Brad Keselowski and Greg Biffle were among more than 800 people who attended the funeral service for NASCAR driver Jason Leffler on Wednesday in Cornelius, N.C. Leffler was killed a week ago when his sprint car crashed into a wall at Bridgeport Speedway in New Jersey.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Nashville Predators have signed defenseman Victor Bartley to a three-year, $2 million contract. The 25-year-old Bartley made his NHL debut this season and played in 24 games for the Predators. He ranked fourth in average ice time with 19 minutes, 32 seconds.
