Olsen, the 19-year-old Cordova, Tenn., player who will be a freshman at Oklahoma State, made a 12-foot birdie putt on the 18th to get into the playoff with Joey Garber and Sam Love of Trussville, Ala.
JOILET, Ill. (AP) — Elliott Sadler says Regan Smith reached out to him this week, and the NASCAR drivers talked about their confrontation following last weekend's Nationwide race in New Hampshire. ATLANTA (AP) — Raul Jimenez scored in the 84th minute to lead Mexico to a 1-0 victory over Trinidad and Tobago in the quarterfinals of the Gold Cup on Saturday night in Atlanta. Mexico, a six-time Gold Cup champion going for its third straight title, will face Panama in the semifinals on Wednesday in Dallas.
ATLANTA (AP) — Coach Julio Dely Valdes was upset when Panama's sudden lapse in concentration led to an early goal for Cuba. Panama didn't need long, though, to regain its aggressive identity and make Valdes smile. Gabriel Torres scored two goals in the first half to help Panama beat 10-man Cuba 6-1 in the quarterfinals of the Gold Cup on Saturday.
