ATLANTA (AP) — Mike Minor allowed only two hits in seven scoreless innings, Brian McCann hit a three-run homer in Atlanta's seven-run third, and the Braves beat the Colorado Rockies 9-0 Wednesday night for their sixth straight win. Freddie Freeman drove in two runs with four hits as the Braves continued their offensive surge with 15 hits.

ROLAND, Ark. (AP) — U.S. Public Links champion Jordan Niebrugge shot a 3-under 69 on Wednesday for a share of the lead in the suspended second round of the Western Amateur. Stanford's Patrick Rodgers and Georgia Tech's Seth Reeves matched Niebrugge, an Oklahoma State sophomore, at 9-under 135 at The Alotian Club. Rodgers had a 68, and Reeves shot 70.

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) — Bobby Crespino, a tight end and receiver for some of Mississippi's best football teams from 1958 to 1960, died Monday in Atlanta. He was 75. The 6-foot-5, 225-pound Crespino played for three Ole Miss teams that had a combined 29-3-1 record and earned a share of two national championships in 1959 and 1960.

POTOMAC FALLS, Va. (AP) — Brad Dalke retained the lead Wednesday in the Junior PGA Championship and Samantha Wagner topped the girls' leaderboard for the second straight round. The 15-year-old Dalke, from Hobart, Okla., had an even-par 71 to reach 6-under 136 at Trump National Golf Club - Washington, D.C.
