BRISTOL, Tenn. (AP) — Matt Kenseth held off Kasey Kahne for 12 nerve-racking laps to hang on and win Saturday night at Bristol Motor Speedway. The win is the fifth of the season for Kenseth, most in the Sprint Cup Series, and clinches a spot in the Chase for the championship.
SARDIS LAKE, Miss. (AP) — The Army Corps of Engineers will host its annual dove hunt at Sardis Lake on Sept. 7. The hunt is free and open to the public. The Army Corps has prepared two fields in Lafayette County on County Road 182 off of Highway 314, about 8 miles from Oxford.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Jake Locker threw for 133 yards and a touchdown, and Tennessee sacked Matt Ryan five times Saturday night as the Titans beat the Atlanta Falcons 27-16. Locker got both his first TD and the first turnover this preseason for the Titans. The third-year quarterback also posted his best game yet as he completed 11 of 13 passes.
