Earl, Fiona, and Gaston...Oh My! Print E-mail

Hurricane Earl, now a category 3 storm is moving closer to the mid-Atlantic. Watches and warnings are issued from North Carolina to Maine. Strong winds, dangerous rip currents, coastal flooding, and heavy rains will be the biggest impact Earl will have on the east coast.

Tropical storm Fiona is going to be veering out to see and will not be a threat to the US. Winds are currently at 50 mph and the storm is moving NNW at 17mph.

Tropical storm Gaston will be taking a due west track heading towards the Lesser Antilles. Max winds are sustained at 30 mph per hour. Although Hurricane Earl will not be impacting Alabama directly, our beautiful holiday weekend forecast is thanks to Earl. As Earl follows the coastline, it will be providing us with winds out of the north; this means cooler air and low humidity values.

Morning lows/afternoon highs through the weekend:

Friday: 67/96....Saturday: 67/89....Sunday: 60/90....Labor Day: 62/92
