Time: Registration is 9am - 10am
Be in line by 10am to avoid a 1st round loss.
FORMAT: Every player will play at least 3 rounds of age-modified, Swiss-style play. Players must bring their own 60-card Modified decks, damage counters, and anything else required for their deck, such as poison and burn markers. Modified decks include cards from any of the following sets: (HeartGold & SoulSilver, HS: Unleashed, HS: Undaunted, HS: Triumphant, Call of Legends, Black & White, BW: Emerging Powers, BW: Noble Victories, BW: Next Destinies, HGSS01 & Higher promos, HGSS & BW Trainer Kits, & McDonald’s Promos). If a card has been reprinted in one of the sets mentioned above, the older version can be used (i.e. Plus Power, Potion, etc).
ENTRY: FREE
DOOR PRIZES: We will have Door Prizes for each age group.
Each player will also receive 3 Play! Points, a 2012 State Championship promo card, and a die with entry. (while supplies last)
PRIZES: Top players in each of the three age groups (10 & Under, 11 thru 14, 15 & up) will receive:
*1st Place: 36 Booster Packs, 1st Place award, $300 Travel Allowance to US Nationals, 1st Round bye at the US Nationals, & 10 Championship Points
*2nd Place: 36 Booster Packs, 2nd Place award, 8 Championship Points
*3rd/4th Place: 18 Booster Packs, 3rd/4th Place award, 6 Championship Points
*5th through 8th Place: 9 Booster Packs, 5 Championship Points
As the amount of players in a division increases, so does the number of places that receives Championship Points. Go to www.pokemon.com for a list.
