Musicians and Storytellers Wanted to Perform at 3rd Annual Patchwork Festival
Camden, Alabama – Black Belt Treasures Cultural Arts Center (BBTCAC) will host its annual Patchwork Festival on Saturday, September 14th. This years’ entertainment will feature a juried selection of regional musicians, bands and storytellers. Interested Black Belt area musicians and performers are invited to apply by picking up an application at Black Belt Treasures or emailing Entertainment will begin at 10:30 a.m. and continue until 3:00 p.m. at BBTCAC located at 209 Claiborne Street in historic downtown Camden.
Completed Forms and Music Submissions must be submitted to BBTCAC no later than Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 4:00 pm. Musicians will be notified on or before, Wednesday, September 4, 2013 of final lineup decisions and schedule. While there is no compensation for performances, artists are allowed to display a ‘tip jar’ on the stage during performances and sell ‘pre-approved’ CD’s and/or merchandise directly related to the performer/group.
Black Belt Treasures Cultural Arts Center is a non-profit organization with the mission of promoting the many talented artists and craftsmen from the Black Belt region and of representing their products to larger markets via a gallery shop and an e-commerce website. Beginning in 2005 with seventy-five artists, there are now over 400 artists and craftsmen representing nineteen counties in Alabama’s Black Belt region.
