Deaths from Pancreatic Cancer Increasing

Pancreatic cancer death rates among blacks and whites have moved in opposite directions over the past few decades.  

Researchers at the American Cancer Society cannot explain an ongoing trend, when one group shows an increase, the other group decreases.  

Overall, deaths from pancreatic cancer are increasing.  

Smoking, obesity and red meat have been linked to the disease.
