Wreck Near Opp Shuts Down Highway Lanes
 A wreck involving an overturned dump truck near Opp blocked lanes on highway 84 for nearly three and a half hours.

Opp’s Police Chief says a driver crossing the east bound lanes of U.S. Highway 84 pulled out in front of a dump truck which was carrying a load of gravel. Â He says when the truck driver attempted to avoid hitting the vehicle, it overturned tossing the entire load of gravel onto the highway. Â

The Opp Police Department says the driver of the car was taken by ambulance to Mizell Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and later released. The truck driver walked away with only minor scrapes. Â
