Montgomery Couple on Amazing Journey Stops Over in Selma

From the West Alabama Newsroom–Â A Montgomery couple is cruising up the Alabama River on the last leg of an amazing eight month — three thousand mile journey.
Retirees Glenn and Joanne Dean are on their way back home after traveling all the way to the Florida Keys and back — on their sailboat. The couple stopped in Selma for a lay over Thursday.

They say the trip was quite an adventure. They saw manatees in the ocean — and survived a stormy night crossing a portion of the Gulf of Mexico on the way to Florida.
The Deans say they expect to make it back home by Tuesday evening.
