Fans Expect Close Iron Bowl
It’s not every year that so much rides on the result of the Iron Bowl.Â
Â
Fans can’t wait to see which team will get a ticket to the SEC championship.
Â
Whether you’re yelling Roll Tide or War Eagle, there’s plenty of excitement heading into tomorrow’s Iron Bowl.Â
Â
Tents are popping up all over Auburn’s campus, and there’s food on every corner.
Â
While fans can’t agree on who will win, everyone thinks it’s going to be close.Â
Â
“31-28,” said one Auburn fan.
Â
“I will say we’ll cover the spread, being 10, 11. Absolutely. I don’t have any doubt. It’ll be much closer than the critics are expecting,” said Collin Varner, an Auburn student.Â
Â
“28-17 Bama,” said a young Bama fan.
Â
“We talked about that earlier. I’m going to say 21-17,” said Bama fan Chad Donahoo.
Â
Auburn Tigers and fans of the Crimson Tide are both surprised with how big this game has become this year, especially after Auburn didn’t win a single SEC game last year.
Â
“It’s humbling coming off the national championship had a few years that were alright, but after a year like last year you definitely don’t expect something like this,” said Auburn student Debo Crew.
Â
“I definitely think they should be ranked high because strength of schedule goes a long way. But all we’ve got to do is play defense and I think we’ll have a pretty good ball game,” said Bama fan Bailey Dempsey.
Â
“It’s going to be a great game. We’re going to beat down on Bama tomorrow. Dee Ford be racking up them sacks,” said Hudson Reynolds, an avid tiger fan.
Â
“I think we have the best coach. And the best players. It’s went as expected. We didn’t expect Auburn to be this good at the end of the season,” said Donahoo.
