Plane Makes Emergency Landing In Georgiana

A plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Georgiana over the weekend.
Â
The Butler County Sheriff says an ultra light plane was having engine trouble after leaving from Brewton and was forced to land on the new Georgiana bypass road.Â
Â
The sheriff says during the landing the plane went into a ditch, causing a wheel to break off of the plane and bending the wing.Â
Â
State Troopers say the pilot was able to get gas for the glider and take back off.Â
Â
The pilot was not injured and was the only person aboard.
