Chemicals Can Disrupt Hormone Production
Many of the chemicals used in fracking can disrupt the production of hormones like testosterone and estrogen, according to researchers at the University of Missouri School of Medicine.
Scientists tested water samples at natural gas drilling sites where spills took place.
They found the water had higher levels of endocrine disrupting chemicals which could affect hormone function.
