Government Questioning Safety of Antibacterial Soaps
The Food and Drug Administration wants the makers of antibacterial hand soaps and body washes to show their products are safe for long-term daily use and more effective than regular soap and water in preventing the spread of germs.Â
The FDA has proposed that companies that can’t prove this would have to change their products, or re-label them to keep them on the market.
