Deputies: Man Arrested With 40 Gallons Of Moonshine

 A man from Union Springs was arrested in Covington County for allegedly trying to sell moonshine.Â

William “Billy” May was arrested North of Gantt. According to Covington County deputies, he had 40 gallons of moonshine and tried to sell it to an undercover officer.Â

He was charged with possession of alcohol more than 5 gallons, unlawful wholesale of alcohol in violation of Alabama liquor law, and possession of marijuana.Â

He was booked into Covington County jail on $233,000 bond, but has bonded out.Â
