The Last Hope Movement Wants To Stop The Violence

We are past the halfway mark of January and there have still been no murders in montgomery.
But after a violent 2013, will that last?
Â
The founder of The Last Hope Movement hopes so, and this weekend held a kick off rally to encourage the community to stop the violence.Â
Â
Tori Hardy started the non profit organization just days after three people were killed inside Centennial Hill Bar and Grill. Â The idea started as a personal passion, empathizing with family members of the victims and the suspects. Her sister was murdered and her son jailed for gun violence.
Â
Dozens attended the kickoff event in the Freewill Missionary Baptist Church had motivational speakers and prayer.Â
Â
Tori Hardy said, “We are not here to judge one another. Because we have all experienced this. I just want everyone to come together as one. A movement is an army, a team and I want our support to be just that.”
Â
Tori Hardy hopes to expand the movement with more events, marches and rallies, even providing counseling and drug prevention programs. Her website (www.thelasthopemovement.com) should be up and running soon.Â
