Academy of Pediatrics Updates Well-Child Recommendations

The American Academy of Pediatrics has updated its recommendations for well-child visits.

They’re adding depression screening for patients ages 11 to 21.

Cholesterol screening for kids ages 9 through 11, 

and hiv testing for kids in their late teens.

Under the Affordable Care Act, most health plans are now required to cover these services.
