Radio Shack Closing 1,100 Stores Nationwide

Radio Shack is planning to close as many as 1,100 stores. That’s nearly 20% of all of its locations.

 

The electronics retailer reported sales at stores open at least a year fell 19% in the last quarter, which included the holiday shopping period. 

 

The closings announced today will leave the company with more than 4,000 stores, including 900 franchise locations.

 

Montgomery closed one location back in December. The location at Ann Street says they will remain open. The location at Eastdale Mall did not comment on the situation.
