Diabetes Increases Cancer Death Likelihood
Cancer patients who also have diabetes are four times more likely to die a year after their cancer diagnosis than patients without diabetes.
Danish researchers say those findings are only for diabetes patients who take insulin. Researchers say diabetes patients often have other health problems including heart and kidney disease, which may complicate treatment.
