New Drug Slows Multiple Sclerosis
An inexpensive, cholesterol-lowering drug may help slow the progression of multiple sclerosis according to a new study in “The Lancet.”
Researchers found a high, daily dose of simvastatin slowed brain shrinkage by 43 percent for patients with chronic stage MS, which is currently untreatable.
