Study Helps People with Urinary Tract Infections

A promising new study for people who suffer recurring urinary tract infections.

Researchers in Utah say while antibiotics treat infection, they don’t get rid of bacteria hiding in the inner layers of the bladder.

But mice given antibiotics along with an FDA-approved compound called chitosan saw a significant reduction in that hard to reach bacteria.

Doctors say more research is needed.
