Fruits and Vegetables Reduce Death Risk

A new study finds eating seven servings of fruits and vegetables a day lowers your overall risk of death 42 percent.

The risk of cancer death goes down 25 percent and heart disease 31 percent.

Researchers found fresh vegetables had the most protective effect.

But dried, or packaged fruit, as well as fruit juice seemed to increase the risk… possibly because of added sugars in processed fruit products.
