Healthy Blood Pressure Could Lead to Sharp Minds

Being heart healthy as a young adult may help you stay mentally sharp in mid-life.

In a study that spanned 25 years, people under 30 whose blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol levels were slightly above the recommended guidelines… scored lower on memory and thinking tests in their 40s and 50s.

Researchers say elevated blood pressure and cholesterol can lead to plaque build-up in the arteries leading to the brain.
