MATS Bus Goes Up in Flames

A scary situation in Montgomery after a city bus catches on fire Tuesday.
A Montgomery area transit bus bus caught fire on the service road next to East South Boulevard and Narrow Lane Road.
Montgomery fire officials tell us the driver and one passenger on the bus both made it out safely.
Brian Harris says he caught the video of the fire on his cell phone.
“Kept hearing horns honking and thought this was kind of weird. It keeps on going. I hopped up by my chair and looked outside. That’s when I saw the bus was on fire. I said, ‘hey guys there’s a bus on fire out here!” said Harris.
The bus was a total loss and no injuries were reported in the fire.
No word yet on the cause of the fire.
