ADHD Caused by Brain Connection Issue

New research finds young people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder…or ADHD…have disrupted brain connections.

The study,  published in the journal Radiology, used a new kind of  MRI scan on a group of about 60 boys…half with ADHD and half without.

The MRI measured brain activity when the child was not focused on a specific task.

The boys with ADHD had altered function in parts of the brain that process strategy and inhibition.
