Arkansas is Issuing Marriage Licenses to Same-Sex Couples

In news from across the nation…

The state of Arkansas is issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. This comes after a judge’s order overturned the state’s ban on gay marriage. The Pulaski County clerk’s office issued its first same-sex marriage license shortly after eight o’clock this morning. Gay couples began lining up before sunrise in hopes of securing a license. On Friday, a Circuit Judge ruled that Arkansas’ voter-approved ban on gay marriage was unconstitutional.
