Sepsis Contributes to Half of Hospital Deaths
A new study shows sepsis contributes to about half the deaths in US hospitals every year.
Researchers at Kaiser Permanente looked at the hospital records of six and a half million patients and found Sepsis was present in only a tenth of patients admitted to the hospital, Â but it was responsible for at least 52-percent of hospital deaths.
