High Protein Diet May Lower Stroke Risk

Eating a high protein diet- especially fish – may lower your risk of stroke.

A new study from Chinese researchers finds people with the highest amount of protein in their diets – at least 20 grams a day — are 20% less likely to develop a stroke.

The study’s author says if everyone ate that amount of protein there would be almost 1.5 million fewer stroke deaths each year worldwide.
