Veterans with Brain Trauma at Higher Risk for Dementia
Military veterans who have suffered a traumatic brain injury may be at higher risk for developing dementia later in life.
A study in the journal Neurology followed nearly 200,000 veterans.
Those who had suffered a traumatic brain injury were 60% more likely to develop dementia and to develop it about two years earlier than other veterans.
