A National Hero with a Local Connection is still In the Limelight
A national hero with a local connection is still in the limelight. Kyle Carpenter made an appearance on “The Late Show with David Letterman” last night. He was awarded the Medal of Honor by President Obama last week. Carpenter was seriously injured in 2010 after throwing himself on a grenade to save those around him. Carpenter spent part of his recovery time in here in Montgomery at “Hero Foundation,” which helps wounded veterans when they come back home.
