Alabama News Network Sponsors Upcoming Donor Round Up

The summer months can mean a shortage for blood donations just when need for life saving supply spikes.

Alabama news network is  teaming up the American Red Cross to help save lives.
 
The summertime is usually a critical time  for blood donations, and this summer is no different.
 
According to the Red Cross, Although an estimated 38% of the U.S. population is eligible to donate. Fewer than 10 percent actually do so each year.
 
While they need everyone’s help, the greatest need is for O negative, A negative and B negative blood.
 
This Tuesday, come out to Eastdale Mall from 10A.M.-7P.M for alabama news network’s “Donor Round Up” to help save lives.
 
If you can’t make it Tuesday, the red cross still urgently needs your donations and encourage you to call 1-800-REDCROSS for other donation locations.
