Local Reaction to Continued Violence in Ferguson, Missouri

Protesters are taking to the streets again in Ferguson, Missouri.
They are gathering to protest the death of Michael Brown– an unarmed African-American teen who was fatally shot by a whote police officer earlier this month.
At the governor’s request, the state’s national guard is heading to the city to help restore the peace after several nights of violent protests.
Brown’s family has called on protesters to be peaceful.
A St. Louis County autopsy has found that Brown was shot six to eight times and was hit in the head and chest.
We went to facebook to ask you how you feel about the situation and what can be done to ease tensions.
Briana Smith says, “It will take people to stop being ignorant and actually wait for facts. Because so far they have been wrong. He was NOT shot in the back.”
Erica D. Cowles says, “The so called protesters are not protesting what happened, they are showing what criminals really are. They do not really want justice, they just want to terrorize and control without respect.”
Tricia Spears says, “Just a bad criminal element using this incident as an excuse to loot and vandalize. These actions are no better than the police shooting an unarmed man.”
Christie Love Lysdale says, ” No one can stand up and say this is an injustice until the investigation is finished.”
