Mtgy. Public Schools Gets AA Credit Rating

Montgomery Public Schools has received a double-A credit rating, which is the second highest credit rating possible. No other school system in the state has a higher rating, one which will save Montgomery Public Schools one million dollars on interest costs alone.
The school system has also raised seven million dollars for their capitol improvement account.
Representatives from the Frazer Lanier Company, the firm that evaluated the school system, say the board is doing an excellent job with their finances.
This is the first time Montgomery Public Schools has received an independent rating.
