Brantley Police Eye Beach Traffic

Brantley Police barely covers a 5 mile radius. But in that small distance they’re stopping dozens of travelers who are taking highway 331 back home. And if you’re not obeying the law you could get a ticket.
 

Brantley Police are not playing any games with speders or drunk drivers

“You got some people that is trying to obey the speed law and stuff like that. Then you got some that’s basically trying basically to rush you know rush back home. And then thats when we come in,” says Brantley Police Chief Titus Averett.

Chief Titus Averett says they’re averaging around 60 tickets this weekend alone.

Mainly speeders but also for those driving with an open container.
So if youre trying to get home without getting pulled over. Chief Averett has some advice for you.

“Just need to slow down.Leave at a decent time where you don’t have to rush,” says Chief Averett

And if you dont Brantley Police will come after you. Chief Averett says if you get a ticket in Brantley its will cost you 210 dollars. If you’re going more than 25 miles over the speed limit it will cost 230 dollars.
