Montgomery Trash Collection Fees Could Go Up
You may soon be paying more for your garbage pickup, that’s if the Montgomery city council approves a 5 dollar monthly increase. Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange says it costs about 18 million dollars per year to pickup and dispose of waste.
He says there’s been a shortfall in revenue and that cost needs to be made up somehow. But some say that increased fee will hurt those who can’t afford the increase.
No vote was taken tonight. A work session will bee held on September 9th to discuss it more.
