Boy killed During Gunfight at Birthday Party
Authorities say a 7-year-old child was killed after being caught in the crossfire of a shootout between two men as the boy attended a birthday party in Greensboro.
Hale County District Attorney Michael Jackson said the Saturday night gun fight was apparently over a female. Authorities said two suspects were taken into custody.
Killed in the shooting was Decorrion Johnson, who was playing with other children when witnesses say the two men started shooting at one another.
Relatives tell WBRC-TV that Decorrion had just finished a football game where he made three touchdowns and he was excited to attend the birthday party.
Greensboro is about 35 miles south of Tuscaloosa.
