With college football in full swing the Troy University Trojans are looking to change their fortune after Saturday’s loss to Duke. With a 34 to 17 loss to Duke and a 48 to 10 loss to UAB the Trojans start the season in the hole with an 0-2 record. Some fans say they’re disappointed with the 0 and 2 start.

“Personally they have alot of talent I think its the coaching staff.” Said Troy student William McClelland. He went on to say “If they let them pass more. We have a great quarterback, great recievers. They try to run the ball too much. Alot of bad play calls I think.”

“They have alot of young players and alot of players havent played together as a team and its just hard to come out and play like that”. Said senior Desmond Millender.

The New look offense showed signs of improvement playing Duke yesterday, but fell off after the first half. Some studnets say its a momentum issue ..

“I think its mostly a problem with momentum,” said student Coale Jordan. “They do well in the first half, usually starts winning, andt then it fizzes off towards the end.”

Students also tell me the slow start is frustrating, but they’re holding out on faith that the team will turn things around once conference play begins. Troy’s next game is Saturday against Abilene Christian University.
