Central Alabama Fair to Conduct Food Drive for Selma Charity

From the West Alabama Newsroom– The 58th annual Central Alabama Fair is set to get underway in just over two weeks — and organizers say they’ve made changes to one of the most popular days — and made it even better.
This year, children have to donate a can of food for admission into the fair on Kids Day. Fair organizers say the food drive will benefit the Christian Outreach Alliance Food Pantry. The Food Pantry distributes food to more than a thousand families each month.
“There is no charge to a client whatsoever,” said Food Pantry volunteer Nancy Bennett.
“It helps you make ends meet,” said Food Pantry client Adolph Goldsby.”
The Central Alabama Fair is sponsored by the Selma Lion’s Club.
