Generic Statins More Effective Than Name-Brand
Generic statins are more effective than brand-name statins, according to researchers in Boston.
The study found that patients who took the generics had an eight percent lower rate of cardiovascular problems and death, than patients who took the brand-name drugs to lower their cholesterol.
Researchers say generic drugs are more affordable making it easier for patients to fill their prescriptions and take their medicine without interruptions.
