Phthalates Could Be Harmful to Pregnant Women

A common chemical found in many household products may not be healthy for pregnant women and their children.  

Phthalates are used in fragrances, plastic food containers, vinyl floors and shower curtains.  

Researchers at Columbia followed 300 pregnant women and  found children born to mothers exposed to the chemicals had a 70% greater risk of developing asthma.
