Prattville Celebrates Day of Play

It’s a busy Saturday in Prattville, where the city is trying to get residents outside and soaking up the sunshine for their worldwide Day of Play.
This is the fourth year the city, the Boys and Girls Club, and Nickelodeon have teamed up for the event. Mayor Bill Gillespie was on hand to officially declare it the Day of Play.
At Cooter’s Pond, there were plenty of events for the kids, including obstacle courses for kids between kindgergarten and eighth grade.
They gave out prizes in every category and say it encourages people to get out and get active.
